Audit Committee Members - £2,000 per annum plus expenses

The Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable for Hertfordshire are looking to recruit three new members to their Joint Audit Committee. Committee members will provide advice and assurance on the overall arrangements for governance in respect of both the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Hertfordshire Constabulary.

These are important roles that make a significant contribution to public assurance about the integrity, internal controls and standards that are adhered to within these public offices.

Committee members will be remunerated at £2,000 per annum for all work undertaken on behalf of the Committee; including for time taken to review papers/preparatory work in respect of every formal Joint Audit Committee meeting attended. In addition, Committee members will be reimbursed reasonable expenses including travel and subsistence.

Committee meetings will be held approximately four times a year; normally in March, July, September and December, although additional meetings may be convened as and when necessary. Meetings are held during normal office hours for approximately two hours either remotely, via MS Teams, or in person at Police HQ in Stanborough (with appropriate social distancing measures in place).
