Readability
This website has been created with accessibility issues in mind and where possible this website has been designed to be fully accessible to everyone. Continual reassessment and improvement is undertaken on this website to maintain accessibility.

This website is run by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
·        change colours, contrast levels and fonts
·        zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
·        navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
·        navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
·        listen to most of the website using a screen reader

Where possible we have tried to ensure this website is easily readable using plain English and made sure that the design of this website does not interfere with its usability and readability.  Text can be resized using the controls available in most modern browsers.

Access Keys
There are no access keys for this website to avoid conflicts with default keyboard shortcuts and accessibility software. The content is screen-reader friendly.

How accessible is this website?
The OPCC has purchased the ‘Recite Me’ tool. This allows visitors to customise the website in ways which work best for them. Providing tools such as, a screen reader, translation tools, reading support and the ability to make styling changes.
You can access the enhanced accessibility features by clicking on the Accessibility Options button at the top of the screen.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible, however we are currently working through these issues.

Translation
Translation is available via the Recite Me tool at the top of the website.  This may not provide a highly accurate translation but can assist foreign language speakers to understand the content.
