Community Safety & Criminal Justice Fund 2021/22

For this year’s funding rounds, the Commissioner has introduced a commissioning-based approach that is targeted and specific in delivering the community safety and criminal justice activity outlined in the Commissioner’s 2019 – 2024 Plan.

Previously the Commissioner has allocated approximately £1million on an annual basis to a range of community safety and criminal justice projects delivered across Hertfordshire.  Since 2017/18 these awards have been subject to an open bidding process.  Details of previous year’s awards can be seen at the bottom of this page.

This page will advertise opportunities for organisations to submit proposals to deliver on key 2021/22 priorities that will help secure the best provision of services that promote crime reduction and support victims/witnesses across Hertfordshire.

These priorities have been developed following evidence gathering, mapping of services as well as input from key stakeholders.

The opportunities will be released within strategic themes/objectives from April 2021.  Please see the How to Apply section below for details of the latest opportunities.

District or County Community Safety Partnerships, statutory organisations including Hertfordshire Constabulary, third sector organisations and businesses/profit making enterprises are eligible to submit proposals.  Please see guidance notes in the How to Apply section below for more information.

Whilst funding will be paid via a grant, the Commissioner will attach conditions to awards made including provision of detailed expenditure, quarterly and annual performance reports and robust project evaluation.
